Just got back from a vacation in NYC.  I give it an A-.  Fun, but it's really just a poor man's Tokyo.

1/2 Marathon

I ran the San Jose 1/2 Marathon in 2:14:27.  My goal was between 2:15:00-2:30:00, so I'm really happy with that time.  Do I want to run another one?  I'm torn...

Cubs...

Cubs are down 0-2 and have played like crap in both games against the Dodgers.  Ugh.  I feel sick to my stomach.  What a wasted season.

Reunion Results

Actually had fun at the reunion, surprisingly.  Only about half of the 8-ish people I wanted to talk to showed up, though.

PT Cruiser

My rental car this week is a PT Cruiser.  What crap.  How come rental car companies never have the car you reserve?  I reserved some compact car and, of course, they didn't have any on the lot, so they tried to upsell me.  When I said no, they "upgraded" me to the Cruiser for free.

What a scam.

Off to Denver next week for business.

Rock Star

Drinking so much Rock Star energy drink lately.  My heart is ready to explode, I think.

Smart Car

Going to test drive a Smart Car this weekend. Sure it's tiny and not nearly as cool as my Jetta, but it would definitely make it easier to park in the city.

Back from L.A.

Ate a lot of food, including some tasty Japanese curry and a delicious red velvet cupcake. Also came home with a half dozen Diddy Reise cookies. No trip to L.A. would be complete without them.

Reunion

Should I go to my 10 year high school reunion? I'd have to fly back to Illinois.

I want to go see a movie this week..... not sure what to see yet. I want to see both the new hulk movie and The Happening. Maybe I will do a double-feature?

I like to play Mario Kart. I have been playing since the original for SNES. Currently, I am addicted to Mario Kart Wii's online play. It is a sickness, really.
